National Conferences

Participating in OURS allows students the opportunity to potentially present their summer's results at a national conference. The following are a list of annual national conferences.

ABRCMS - Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students
"Now in its thirteenth year, ABRCMS is the largest, professional conference for minority students to pursue advance training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), attracting approximately 3,300 individuals, including 1,700 undergraduate students, 400 graduate students and postdoctoral scientists and 1200 faculty, program directors and administrators. Students come from over 350 U.S. colleges and universities. All are pursuing advanced training in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and many have conducted independent research."

SACNAS - Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science
"Interdisciplinary. Highly Interactive. Transformative. The SACNAS National Conference motivates, inspires and engages participants to achieve their highest goals in pursuing education and careers in STEM fields. Conference programming is specifically tailored to support undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and career professionals at each transition stage of their career as they move towards positions of science leadership."

AISES - American Indian Science and Engineering Society
"The AISES National Conference is a one-of-a-kind, three day event convening graduate, undergraduate , and high school junior and senior students, teachers, workforce professionals, corporate and government partners and all members of the 'AISES family'. The AISES National conference has become the premier event for Native American Science, Engineering & Math (STEM) professionals and students attracting over 1,600 attendees form across the country."
